How we handle your details.
This page explains what Gidicars Ltd does with the details you share on this website. We are a car dealership with a showroom in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. We keep this simple and only collect what we need.
What we collect
When you fill in a form (book a test drive, ask a question, request a car, send trade-in details, make a private enquiry or propose a partnership) we collect what you type: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the car you are interested in, your preferred date and time, your message, and your company or brand, location and audience for partnership enquiries, and your budget, timing and preferences if you ask us to find a car.
We also keep simple counts of how the website is used, for example how many people opened a car page or tapped the WhatsApp button, and which source they came from, such as Google or Instagram. These counts are not linked to your name or phone number, and we do not store your IP address with them.
Why we collect it
We use your details to reply to you, to arrange your test drive and inspection, to follow up on a car you asked about, and to understand which parts of the website are useful so we can improve them. We do not sell your details.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
Your browser may remember, for up to 30 days, where you came from (for example Instagram or Google) and the first page you visited, so that we can tell which source your enquiry came from. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Who sees your details
Your details are seen by the Gidicars team and are held in our website and email systems, which are provided by our hosting and email providers. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms apply to that conversation. The fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google can see that your device requested them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any purchase, and then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, object to how we use them, or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
